Bilingual Communications Officer
Reporting to the Executive Director of the New Brunswick Teachers’ Federation (NBTF), the incumbent will be responsible for carrying-out a variety of internal and external communication tasks in both official languages.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Director in the development of the communication plan
- Prepare, translate, edit and proofread a variety of documents
- Point of contact for all NBTF internal and external communications
- Responsible for final review of all materials prior to sending to service providers
- Manage the NBTF Website and social media accounts
- Participate in the creation and implementation of the NBTF media campaign
- Develop the work plan, write and coordinate the publication of the NBTF Annual Report
- Prepare and coordinate the newsletters for the NBTF
- Coordinate email distribution to all NBTF members
- Participate in NBTF meetings, when required
- Coordinate meetings and special events
- Responsible for NBTF promotional materials
- Responsible for the NBTF Wayne Nightingale Achievement Award
Requirements and Competencies*
- Post-secondary education with a specialization in communication
- Possess at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in writing, editing and translating documents
- Ease with Microsoft Office Suite, Mailchimp and Worpress
- Strong written and spoken competence in English and French is required

Start Date: October 31, 2022 or other mutually acceptable date
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 (according to education and experience, with very competitive benefits)
