The NBTF Appoints a New Deputy Executive Director

At its regular meeting on May 9th, 2015, the NBTF Executive Committee appointed Caroline Foisy to the position of Deputy Executive Director. Mrs. Foisy will begin her new assignment on June 1st 2015.

Mrs. Foisy has over twelve years of experience in the field of labour relations. She was first hired as a labour relations coordinator at the Department of Education and Early Childhood with the New Brunswick Government. Her main duties comprised of offering advice to the province’s fourteen school districts on matters related to the interpretation of the Collective Agreement and other government policies.

Mrs. Foisy was then hired as a labour relations officer with the NBTF in 2011 where she provides advice related to the interpretation and application of the Collective Agreement, and represents teachers in issues related to grievances, complaints related to the Harassment in the Workplace Policy and Policy 701. She is an active member of the Employer-employee Relations Committee, the Professional Counseling Committee, the Absenteeism and Wellness Committee and the Deferred Leave Committee. Mrs. Foisy sits on the TPPA Pension Committee and played an active role in the 2012 round of bargaining.

Mrs. Foisy has a Masters Degree in Public Administration for l’École Nationale d’Administration publique (ENAP), a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Relations from Université Laval, and has completed a course at Queen’s University in Negotiations and another in Managing Unionized Environment.

The NBTF Executive Committee congratulates Mrs. Foisy and wishes her well as she begins her new assignment with her colleagues, Kerry Leopkey, Executive Director, Monique Caissie and Nicole LeBlanc, Labour Relations Officers.
