Communiqué – Meeting Request with Premier Higgs
The purpose of this Communiqué is to inform members that the NBTF Co-Presidents are requesting a meeting with Premier Higgs.
This meeting will reinforce the need to fully understand the impacts of operationalizing recent government decisions on the school system. The main concerns raised will be:
- the time frame to implement expected changes
- the expectation that principals and teachers are equipped to efficiently communicate required and significant public health orders to parents
- the impact that these additional demands are adding to the already complex role of school principals and teachers
We know teachers continue to be committed to doing their part in this pandemic. Unfortunately, the current circumstances are making the work impossible.
